Small Businesses Should Get Prepared for Second Round of PPP

HONOLULU – The current uptick in COVID-19 cases comes at crossroads with struggling Hawaii businesses bracing for the lingering threat of another economic shutdown. Congress’ newest COVID relief package includes another round of PPP (Paycheck Protection Program), with some underlined differences from the first round. Hawaii’s leading HR management company, ProService Hawaii, has been proactive in consolidating information for Hawaii employers to learn more about the new PPP and what they need to do to apply for funding.

ProService hosted a webinar last week titled “Unlocking PPP 2.0 and the COVID Relief Stimulus Bill,” which was attended by over 300 hundred clients, employers, and business owners. The webinar, which is available for free on-demand, summarized thousands of pages of legal updates into the most important points businesses need to know.

“The second round of PPP will be a saving grace to many Hawaii employers,” says Ben Godsey, President and CEO of ProService Hawaii. “We want businesses to remain open and be as successful as possible despite the odds ahead of them. Providing information that will help guide the application process for this round of PPP is the least we can do to best position businesses for success.”

The on-demand webinar unpacks information such as provisions that benefit small businesses and other additional updates to be aware of. To watch the on-demand webinar click here.
